TIPS

  • Keep the patty moist: Avoid overmixing the turkey to keep the patty tender.
  • Prevent sticking: Lightly oil the grill or pan to ensure easy flipping.
  • Flavour boost: Marinate the turkey with BBQ sauce for 30 minutes before cooking for deeper flavour.
  • Juicier texture: Add a teaspoon of olive oil to the turkey mix to enhance moisture.

VARIATIONS

  • Spicy Kick: Add ¼ tsp cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce for heat.
  • Cheesy Upgrade: Melt a slice of low-fat cheddar or pepper jack cheese on top of the patty.
  • Extra Crunch: Top with crispy onions or coleslaw for added texture.
  • Lettuce Wrap: Replace the bun with lettuce leaves for a low-carb option.

PREPPING AND STORAGE

  • Make Ahead: Prepare the turkey mixture and shape the patties up to a day in advance. Store them in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Freezing: Wrap raw or cooked patties in plastic wrap and store them in a freezer bag for up to 3 months. Thaw it in the fridge overnight before cooking.
  • Leftovers: Keep cooked burgers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a pan over medium heat or microwave for 1-2 minutes before serving.
